The clip will contain one note for each slice, arranged in a chromatic sequence. If you don't have Suite, you can download freeware VST plugins for amp simulation. Just try different settings until you get something you like. "Cabinet" has less options to choose from, but there's no right or wrong way of using it.

Now you have a full amp simulation chain, you can adjust the controls on the "Amp" Audio Effect in much the same way you would with a real guitar amp. Insert "Cabinet" immediately after it - again, don't bother changing the settings. Insert "Amp" first, but don't bother setting it up yet. These effects are intended to be used together, like how some guitar amplifiers have a seperate head and cabinet. If you have the Suite edition of Ableton Live, you will need two Audio Effects: "Amp" and "Cabinet". Now you have a clean guitar signal to work with, you can use plugins or Audio Effects to simulate a guitar amplifier and recording chain.
This will produce a strange, unfamiliar guitar sound, but that's not a problem. You plug your guitar cable into the instrument input on the audio interface, then create an Audio Track and select the guitar signal from the dropdown "Audio From" menu. You may not be able to afford it now, but the first thing you need purchase - before even thinking about buying a decent microphone - is an audio interface.
